This camera has been modified into a "dummy" or fake security camera. This unit does contain a flashing light. The camera features a fully adjustable mounting bracket (up,down, left,right) that will let you install the camera quickly and easily using the included stainless steel screws. Dimensions of the camera are 6 inches long x 3 1/2 inches wide. This includes the rain shield which cannot be removed but does not include the dimensions of the mounting hardware, which can vary depending on how you mount the camera. The camera requires 2 AA batteries that are not included. The AA batteries act as a back-up for when there is not enough light for the solar battery. However, the camera will operate on the solar battery even if no AA batteries are installed, as long as the solar battery is charged. The solar battery is fully charged in 3-4 hours and should operate the LED for about 10 days under normal lighting conditions. It is suggested to always have the AA batteries installed so that you always have a fully operating/blinking LED.
