Meade #678 Dew Shield Compatible Flexible Dew Shield for Meade ETX-125EC Series Telescopes

Meade #678 Dew Shield Compatible Flexible Dew Shield for Meade ETX-125EC Series Telescopes

• Meade #678 Dew Shield Compatible Flexible Dew Shield for Meade ETX-125EC Telescopes
• Flexible dew shields are made of non-reflective, flexible, light weight foam rubber sheeting.
• Flexible dew shields will not crack or dent like rigid (metal or hard plastic) dew shields.
• Flexible dew shields can be stored easily rolled up, lay flat or stay on the telescope.
• Flexible dew shields work better than rigid dew shield because foam rubber insulates better.

Dew Shields (dew caps) trap stagnated air in the front of the telescope. The temperature of the stagnated air is slightly higher and is enough to prevent dew from forming. Dew shields can be use as a shade to block stray light from entering the telescope or during daylight torrential viewing. Stay light lowers image contrast.

ATOZstars Flexible dew shields are made of black close-cell light weight foam rubber sheeting, which is non-reflective and a good insulation material. The foam rubber sheeting forms the cylindrical shape with Velcro. The dew shield rubber sheeting is slightly elastic which allows a snug fit on the telescope tube. The dew shield can slide forward as dew shield or slide back onto the telescope tube on most telescopes to protect the telescope from accidental scratching of the telescope tube. The flexible dew shield can be store away easily by roll up tight, lay flat or stays on the telescope. Rigid dew shields are difficult to store especially large ones.

Orion Cloak Cover for Large Mounted Telescopes

Orion Cloak Cover for Large Mounted Telescopes

• Keep your telescope assembled and ready for action in your shed, garage, or home observatory with a ScopeCloak to prevent dust and dirt buildup
• Protect an assembled telescope in the field before, between, and after observing sessions
• Reflective Scope Cloak helps to avoid internal telescope heat build-up caused by exposure to sunlight
• Orion Scope Cloak's material prevents dew buildup from external moisture and dropping outdoor temperatures
• Designed for temporary outdoor use only - not intended for permanent outdoor storage

The Orion Scope Cloak Telescope Cover is an affordable and easy to use telescope cover that protects your equipment from dust, dirt, dew, and sunlight. Large aperture equatorial and altazimuth-mounted telescopes can easily be kept clean and tidy with this Scope Cloak. Mounted reflectors up to 10" (254mm) in aperture and refractors up to 120mm (4.7") in aperture and up to f/8.3 focal ratio can be conveniently sheltered from the elements. Keep your telescope set-up and ready for viewing in your garage, shed, or home observatory without worrying about dust and dirt contamination. Orion's Scope Cloak is made of a high-tech tear-resistant and water-resistant material that keeps your optics free of dew. The highly reflective exterior surface rejects solar radiation, keeping your telescope cool when left in sunlight and reduces cool-down time (the amount of time required for your telescope to reach thermal equilibrium after nightfall). The Scope Cloak Telescope Cover prevents dust form contaminating telescope optical surfaces, reducing the need to perform delicate and tedious cleaning procedures. A handy locking drawstring provides a snug fit once installed on your telescope. The Orion Scope Cloak Telescope Cover for Large Mounted Telescopes is designed for temporary outdoor use and is not intended to be used for permanent unsheltered outdoor storage. A handy nylon carrying pouch is included.

Celestron Motor Drive for AstroMaster/PowerSeeker EQ Telescopes Reviews

Celestron Motor Drive for AstroMaster/PowerSeeker EQ Telescopes

• Item model number: 93514
• Attach this Celestron Motor Drive to any AstroMaster equatorial mount and the telescope will track the stars in right ascension

Motor Drive for Celestron AstroMaster or PowerSeeker EQ series telescopes. Allow for automatic tracking of objects on your AstroMaster EQ Mount. No more turning knobs, let the motor drive track objects for you!

Without a motor drive the AstroMaster telescope tracks objects in the sky manually. For example, if you had Saturn or Jupiter in your eyepiece, the object would only stay in your field-of-view at high magnifications for a few seconds. To track objects manually, you need to turn the knobs on the EQ mount to keep the object in your view. Each time you turn the knob, the image shake makes viewing the object impossible, making you wait for the telescope to stabilize again.

A motor drive eliminates the need for manually tracking objects. Once your object is located, simply turn on the motor drive and adjust the speed to match the objects tracking speed. The motor drive runs for up to 40 hours on one included 9 volt battery.
