Well lots of digital cameras that specialize in still photos can take short amounts of moving images.

If you want Mainly moving films...you might be better off with a digital camcorder that can take STILL pictures as well. The trade off here is that the digital camcorders typically don't take very high resolution Still shots....but I think they are getting better.

I have some pictures on my computer that I need to transfer to my digital camera so i can send it to my lawyer.

I tried dragging the pictures into my digital camera folder, but when i check the picture library on my camera the pictures don't show up even though they are in the folder.

If I get my camera developed, will the pictures that i dragged into its memory folder also get developed, or since its not showing in the library it wont?

And if it doesn,t how do i do it if i even can?

This is a very confusing question. If you have a digital camera, you dont get the pictures developed thats only film. So you can pick and choose which ones you print by using an online service or by bringing a cd of the shots to wallmart or some place that will print them. If you want to keep the pictures private for some reason I suggest you print them out yourself. Otherwise online services like mpix.com print for very cheap.

My digital camera doesnt take pictures of things that are far away at night because the flash can only work to things close by. Do you reccommend a disposable camera?

I used my digital last year when I went and they came out great! You may also want to use a regular SLR. It depends on the quality of your camera- please, no disposable!

Well let start this way do you have any photo studios or photo gallerys if so open them up and you should find a option to upload pics from digital camera. If not then you need to buy one or download one from download.com they have some freeware photo studios for free then you will be able to download your digital pics. You'll see this written scores of times in answers to similar questions: It's not the camera that takes professional pictures but the photographer. If you don't have the skills, you could be using a $ 30,000 Hasselblad and still take pictures that are not as good as an experienced photographer with a $ 500 point-and-shoot.

Sounds like you have a digital camera. Some digital cameras are just slow. I have a CP-8800 that is like molasses in winter, real slow. So really, you can't speed up the time it takes a digital camera to get ready between shots. Sorry.

Every camera takes good pictures if a person behind it knows how to use it.
You can honestly start with a camera in your phone.

There is a published album "The Best Camera is the One That's with You: iPhone Photography by Chase Jarvis", all photos were taken exclusively with an iphone which technically speaking has not very advanced camera.

I was 14 I would start with shooting film. It's really eyes opener and learns respecting photography as the form of art..

When I use to take pictures with disposable cameras, I would look good, even pretty, However now that I have a digital camera, I am unable to take a nice picture. I look gross in these pictures, I don't look like this in real life. My eyes don't look the way they look in real life, especially. I hate it. I am thinking of buying a disposable camera to take picutres of me and leaving the digital camera to take pictures of others and of landscape.

Anyone know why this is the reason, or does anyone have the same experience?

Unfortunately the digital camera captures us the way others see us.

The reason you looked different in photos from a disposable camera is the lens. Fixed focus set to infinity and made of plastic. If you enlarge those photos youll notice nothing is really in focus. This produces a "soft" image which some would find more pleasing.

Your digital camera has adjustable focus and a glass lens. Even cheap digital camera have much better optics than a disposable camera. It captures all our flaws much better than the disposables.

Some people complained when HD TV first came out. The resolution was so good and captured so much detail zits and imperfections on actors faces became prominent. With analog TV and CRT displays those flaws went unnoticed.

I'm looking for a digital camera, other than a Leica (like most people I don't have $ 7000 bucks at my disposal) that takes nice film quality photos. I'm turned off and slightly tired of the sterile world of DSLR's and I want a camera that has that rich analog look. I take fine art photography, so I'm not worried about being able to change out lenses and all that. Like I said, essentially a Leica M9 would be ideal, but I can't afford it.

I've been looking into the newer Fujifilm X100 and Olympus OMD-EM5. Are they my best bet?

I appreciate all suggestions and guidance!
