  1. Nikon D Series such as the D60 or the D90 (takes pic's and video)

Both great easy use first time DSLRs!
Nikons have tons of attachments and user guides and most photo classes are used with nikons!

  2. Hi Reghan, and welcome to Yahoo!Answers:

From reading your "debut" Question, it appears you are in the wrong Category. This is Camcorders, not Cameras. The dead giveaway are the two phrases "lenses and flash" & "action shots".

You might re-post over in Cameras (see: http://answers.yahoo.com/dir/index;_ylt=Aqp4oTffSjPxZLgJD6OVgO485XNG;_ylv=3?sid=396545631 ), or just watch this Q&A for a few days and see who else might post an Answer.

Y!A discussions stay open for 4 days, unless you extend that deadline.

You might also use the "Additional Details" link on the Action Bar (mouse-over the Edit menu "pencil icon"), and give us a price range for your budget. There's a wide range of models in the "professional" DSLR category.

    hope this helps,

  3. Any DSLR will work great for action. If you want accessories then I'd say Nikon or Canon since they have the most available accessories. And in my opinion, since it would be your first DSLR, I'd go Nikon just because their menu system is the easiest to learn and use. Again that is only my opinion. Start at the D3200 and look maybe at the D90 or D7000 if they are in your price range. You ad speed, battery power, and processor/sensor quality (these directly affect picture quality) as you go up in price.

  4. I agree with Maria. Canon 1100D is more than enough.

Any dSLR will do. They are all basically the same. Any brand or model is great. Once you learn how to use one, you can use them all. There is no dSLR for beginners.
