When I switch the camera on there's like a black spot like a small shadow colour on the screen of the camera, the screen isn't scratched...
The camera is a Samsung st500
is there a way of fixing that?

Because your finger is covering the lens.
ReplyDeleteThere could be dust on the sensor (the part of the camera that takes the photo) or a burn if you've been taking photos of the sun.
ReplyDeleteYour camera is not an interchangeable lens camera, so it is doubtful you got dust on the sensor - but it could happen.
ReplyDeleteOther causes of damage include pointing the camera in a laser light show. I have seen cameras have damaged sensors due to this when people go clubbing, etc. and want to take video. The lasers used in these clubs can fry a sensor immediately.
Not sure if that is your problem, but I thought I would throw it out as speculation.
