Are you saying that you copied someone else's image you found on the internet and copied it to your memory card? That is a copyright infringement for sure, so stop doing that.

Since memory cards are only temporary storage and hold the images produced by the camera, you should not be surprised that a foreign image cannot be seen by your camera. In fact even if you try to copy one of your own images to the memory card, you camera will not be able to see it.

  1. The camera is not a viewing device. It only displays unmodified and unmoved pictures it took. If you want to view images, use a digital photo frame, your cellphone, a laptop computer, a desktop computer or print them out on paper.

  2. Other than the obvious copyright issue, you won't be successful.

Cameras generally expect to see the correct format in the photos it displays. This includes the correct file name format as well as the specific resolutions the camera supports (the number of pixels X - Y, etc).

Since they are only intended to display the resolutions that the camera produces, there are no conversion utilities in the camera to display other resolutions or sizes.

And the photos must reside in the correct folder. The JPG standard goes to great lengths to prevent viewing one camera's images by another camera.

If you will attempt to circumvent this, and to view a photo not created by the camera, the likely result will be the camera will either lock up (meaning you have to remove the battery to restart it), and/or corrupt the memory card.
