What is the best intermediate DSLR camera for portraits?

Question by Effy: What is the best intermediate DSLR camera for portraits?
I have been doing photography now for 5 years but normally only on a manual 35mm camera. I want to get my first DSRL camera. I was planning on getting into couples, pregnancy, and children's photography. What is a good camera?

  1. Just by the entry level dSLR body made by the camera maker whose 35 mm camera you are using now.

There is NO reason to switch camera systems with over 5 years experience using your camera system

There a NO subject specific cameras.

  2. if you already have a film camera, then buy a DSLR that can use the same lenses...

any mid-range will do you... but i would suggest going to a camera shop, and trying all the options...

then look online for bundle deals...
